Did you get your wedding photos from Renaissance Photography?

The Burlington County Office of Consumer Affairs is looking for past customers of Weddings Unlimited and Renaissance Photography who paid for, but did not receive, their photographs.

Jack Holton, who operated photography businesses in Medford, Cinnaminson and Palmyra at various times, under the names “Weddings Unlimited” or “Renaissance Photography,” in now serving a three-year prison sentence for having defrauded customers.

The Burlington County Office of Consumer Affairs brought more than 80 complaints against Holton and his photography businesses to the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office in 2009. Some of the complaints alleged non-delivery of products, such as photographs and albums; some were for non-performance of contracted services such as weddings, and one was for poor quality of work.

Most of the complaints were between September 2002 and May 2009.

The thefts range in amounts from $800 to $6,600, and the victims came from several counties across New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

“This case is a perfect example of how our office of consumer affairs helps Burlington County residents seek justice if they unfortunately fall victim to a scam or fraudulent company,” said Burlington County Freeholder Mary Ann O’Brien. “The consumer-affairs staff will investigate any complaint a resident brings against a company or individual with whom a contract has been made.”

Holton has surrendered dozens of CDs full of photos from the events. These CDs are now being stored at the office of consumer affairs. Many of them are not labeled or marked in any way, so it’s difficult to locate proper customers.

“We are trying to reach out to the couples who have never received their photos and albums from their events,” O’Brien said. “Many of these people may not have any photographic representations from their weddings or occasion, so providing these CDs to them will help bring back their special day.”

Anyone who had entered into a photography agreement with Holton and who never received photographs, should contact the office of consumer affairs at (609) 265–5054.
