The following items can be found on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:
• On Feb. 24, at 2:28 p.m., The Evesham police responded to a disturbance in the 200 block of North Locust Avenue.
Upon the officers’ arrival, a suspect was encountered inside the residence. It was known to officers the suspect had a warrant, so to avoid apprehension, the suspect jumped out a first-floor window and fled south into the neighborhood.
Officers pursued the suspect on foot and located him hiding between two houses approximately two blocks away.
Officers say they observed the suspect discarding bags of cocaine inside an exterior air conditioner unit. The suspect refused to comply with the officers’ orders to get on the ground and opted to take a fighting stance and engage them in a physical confrontation. Officers say they were able to subdue the suspect and place him under arrest. No officers were injured during the confrontation and the suspect was taken to a local hospital for complaints of pain.
The suspect, a 37-year-old Marlton man, was charged with third-degree possession of cocaine, third-degree possession of pills, fourth-degree resisting arrest and fourth-degree obstruction.
He was remanded to the Burlington County Jail in lieu of bail, police said.
• On Jan. 17, the Evesham Police Department investigated a residential burglary to a home in the unit block of North Locust Avenue.
The Evesham police identified the man responsible for this burglary and a $50,000 full bail warrant has been issued for his arrests.
The man charged with the burglary is, Keith Johnson, 32, of Trenton.
