World Trade Center remnant to be placed on Main Street

A tangible reminder of New York’s World Trade Center will find a home in Evesham Township.

Evesham Mayor Randy Brown has requested a steel remnant and has arranged for its delivery next week to the township. He is pleased to construct a monument for the people of Evesham to be positioned at the Main Street Fire Station. His quest to build a 9/11 monument began several years ago.

“It is a remembrance of 9/11 and the firefighters and police officers that came before us, are present, and come after us,” said Mayor Randy Brown. “The memorial will provide a solemn place to remember and mourn and reflect.”

A ceremony will be held on Friday, Oct. 19 at 10:30 a.m. Scheduled to be in attendance and make comments are various officials including Evesham Mayor Randy Brown and New Jersey Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno.

All are welcome to attend!
