Donald E. Newby, born on June 8, 1943 to Mary (McKinnon)Newby and Eric Newby, in New York City, NY died on Saturday, December 7, 2024. Don is survived by his brother, Brian and sister-in law, Dorothy Newby, his nephew Doug and his former wife, Janet. He lived in Gibbsboro and the Voorhees, NJ areas for several years. He was a graduate of Drexel University and was a Professional Civil Engineer, and worked on large construction projects such as Harrah’s hotel and casino in Atlantic City, NJ.
Don was loved and will be missed by his family and many friends. He was an enthusiastic sportsman who was a member of the Fall Line Ski Club for over 50 years, and was an officer and shareholder in The Green Valley Tennis Club for many years. He also went golfing with friends until shortly before his passing. He will be fondly remembered for his love of world travel; his ever-present smile; his enthusiasm for his Porsches, and the sharing of fun and happy times with friends.
