Man dies in one-car accident

A 56-year-old man whose vehicle overturned after he struck a tree in the area of Swedesboro and Windsor roads in Mullica Hill on June 7 has died of his injuries.

Johnny Kustera – who was alone in the car – was unconscious when police arrived, authorities said. His Cadillac CTS was traveling west on Swedesboro Road when it suddenly left the roadway along the road’s westbound shoulder. The route was closed as a result for three hours between North Main Street and Tomlin Station Road.

Kustera was transported to Inspira Medical Center of Mullica Hill before being flown to Cooper University Medical Center in Camden, where he died. The investigation of the accident was aided by the Gloucester County EMS, the Harrison Township Fire District and the Mantua and Woolwich Township police departments.
