Vehicle crash in Deptford kills teen

A 16-year-old teen Washington Township girl was killed and two others injured on March 22 in a collision between two vehicles at the intersection of Hurffville and Deptford Center roads.

The accident occurred at approximately 8:03 p.m., according to Deptford police, when the driver of one involved car, a 17-year-old male from Gibbstown, collided with a vehicle driven by a 27-year-old female from Deptford.

Both drivers sustained injuries and were hospitalized, police said. The 16-year-old – a passenger in the Gibbstown resident’s car – was prounounced dead at the scene. Identities of all three victims have yet to be announced.
