This holiday season, residents and social committee members of The Mews at Laurel Creek, Joanie Perry, Lynn Morsell and Nancy DiNubile have once again organized a toy drive to spread holiday cheer for the children and families of Moorestown Ecumenical Neighborhood Development (MEND). The toy drive collected 163 gifts, along with stocking stuffers and over $1,400 worth of monetary donations and gift cards – which all will benefit the Children of MEND Holiday Fund.
“Every year The Mews residents, Joanie, Lynn and Nancy truly go above and beyond to ensure that the children of MEND have a nice holiday. We are very grateful for their continued support,” said Eileen Wirth, MEND’s president and CEO. “Giving to those who need it the most truly captures the meaning of the holidays.”
Perry and Morsell spearheaded this drive in 2018 and hopes to continue this initiative for many more years to come.
“It gives our community such pleasure to support the children and families of MEND,” Perry said. “Thanks to the generosity of our residents, this is our fifth successful toy drive. We are looking forward to another next year.”
