Township police retirees, alumni gather for holiday breakfast

Retired officers and other alumni of the Gloucester Township Police Department gathered last week at their training facility for a Christmas breakfast, marking a cherished tradition that brought together about 40 former officers and department employees.

The event saw retirees greeted by current staff members, rekindling connections and sharing memories of their service with the department. Provided by the township Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 206, the breakfast spread featured an array of offerings, including coffee, juices and breakfast foods.

The gathering was a testament to the enduring bonds among Gloucester Township police past and present. The atmosphere was full of conversation, laughter, and a bit of nostalgia. Former colleagues reminisced about their service, sharing anecdotes and stories about what was described as a unique camaraderie in the department and its commitment to maintaining unity beyone active service.
