Mullica Hill’s annual Lights on Main holiday event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 25, from 5 to 9 p.m. along Main Street.
According to the Gloucester County website, Lights on Main – voted the best event in the county for the last decade – will feature a variety of spectacles up and down Main Street, which will be closed from 4 p.m.
The free event will feature entertainment, Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus, a bounce house for kids and carriage rides. Aong with food trucks, Harmony Fire Company will host an open house and a Mummers’ performance.
“We have all kinds of things going on,” said Recreation Commission Coordinator Sharon Chew of the lights event. “It’s like a Hallmark movie in Mullica Hill.”
Businesses along the street will host holiday-themed showcases and the Mullica Hill Art Center will do face painting and show art pieces designed for the event. The climax will come when Mayor Louis Manzo lights the tree at 7 p.m.

Lights on Main is expected to draw about 10,000 people during its four hours, said Chew.
“It’s not only the biggest event in Mullica Hill, but also the biggest in all of Gloucester County,” she added. “It’s so big I’ve added five more food trucks … We get visitors from all over, from places like Glassboro and Swedesboro.”
Six buses will be available to take people to and from the north and south ends of Main Street, three for each end. They are provided by the Clearview Regional School District.
Most of the advance work for Lights on Main will be done on Black Friday. The event is a partnership between the Harrison recreation commission and its public works department.
