DIGIT, a full service company providing comprehensive digital accounting services, consulting and financial education, is proud to announce Director of Digital Accounting, Melissa Hofmann, MAcc, has been named partner effective Jan. 1. Hofmann is a resident of Cherry Hill and has been a part of DIGIT from the start and is responsible for setting up and overseeing the digital accounting systems for small-to-midsize business and nonprofit clients. She is also an integral part of the overall operations and management of the internal team, including IT and various administrative tasks. Within the variety of her roles, she is able to not only help clients but also mentor young professionals as they grow within their own careers.
Prior to transitioning to DIGIT, Melissa was a manager at the affiliated company Ruotolo, Spewak & Co., a full service certified public accounting firm, where she began her career as an intern with student working professionals, a non-profit organization that on real world job and life skills training for students. A graduate of Rider University, Hofmann first received a bachelor of science degree in accounting and computer information systems. She continued her studies to earn a master of business administration in accountancy from the same university. Melissa is active in the professional community, including a former board member and active member and speaker with the New Jersey Regional Chapter of the Pennsylvania/Delaware Valley Chapter of Community Associations Institute (CAI). She is also a lifetime member of Beta Alpha Psi.
