David Steven Deeney, of Mantua, NJ, a cherished brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on December 16, 2024, at the age of 80 years.
David grew up in Philadelphia, PA, where he attended St. Thomas Moore Catholic High School. David’s career as an account executive at Lamp Transport Inc. spanned many years, where he was known for his dedication, work ethic, and the genuine relationships he built with clients and colleagues alike.
Beyond his professional endeavors, David was deeply committed to Alcoholics Anonymous, dedicating over 18 years to the organization. His journey and unwavering support profoundly impacted many individuals on their path to recovery. David’s dedication to the program was a source of hope and inspiration, embodying the spirit of service that defined so much of his life. An avid reader, David found solace and excitement in the pages of thrillers and spy novels.
David is predeceased by his beloved parents, John and Catherine Deeney as well as two of his siblings; Francis Deeney (the late Elaine) and John Deeney (Catherine, surviving). He is lovingly remembered by his brother, James Deeney (Linda), his sister, Kathleen Robinson, and numerous nieces and nephews. Each family member carries forward cherished memories of David’s life.
As we say goodbye to David, we celebrate a life well-lived, a heart generously given, and a spirit that will continue to guide and inspire. Though he has departed from this world, his light remains with us, shining through the countless lives he touched.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, at Earle Funeral Home, 122 W. Church Street, Blackwood, NJ 08012, where a celebration of his life will begin at 12:00 Noon.
