With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Mary Ellen McGrath (née Dube), age 69 on October 30, 2024. Mary was born on December 27, 1954, in Camden, NJ to the late Henry and Patricia Dube. She was a resident of Cherry Hill, NJ, and a 1973 graduate of Camden Catholic High School. She worked many years as an accounting specialist for L3 Communications, as well as other bookkeeping positions. Mary was a woman of faith and volunteered with the Red Cross and IHOC Ministry for the Homeless. She loved spending time outdoors, gardening, camping, and the sights and sounds of the beach. Her hobbies included painting, photography, playing the harmonica, dancing, and other activities with family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents Henry & Patricia Dube, her sister Bernadette Ross, and her former husband Leslie McGrath. She is survived by her siblings Patricia Ellis, Barbara Brennan, Bill Dube, Bob Dube, Peg Broadwater, Kathy Kiley, Jean Cotton, John Dube, Mike Dube, Teresa Thorne, Maureen Savage & Chris Shesney, and their spouses. She is also survived by stepson Shawn McGrath, his siblings Michael and Lisa and their children, and other extended family including over 50 nieces, nephews & cousins.
Family and friends are invited to the Healey Funeral Home, 9 White Horse Pike, Haddon Heights, NJ from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, for a Visitation followed by a Celebration of Life of Mary Ellen McGrath.
