Two Burlington County area students and Dunkin’ employees are recipients of the company’s 15th annual regional scholarship program.
Students were selected from more than 1,260 applicants based on their academic records, leadership and proven commitments to their schools and communities. Dunkin’ and its franchisees in the Philadelphia area will award each student a $5,000 academic scholarship to pursue a full-time undergraduate degree at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school.
Among recipients is Natalie Sherrill, a recent graduate of Palmyra High School, where she was a member of the National Honors Society, Spanish National Honors Society, student council, Panthers with Heart and Marcia Hyland’s Dance Company. She also earned the National African American Recognition Program Award. A Dunkin’ employee, Sherrill will attend Seton Hall University in the fall to pursue a degree in nursing.
Om Darji is a recent graduate of Burlington Township High School, where he was a member of the student government, National Honors Society, Asian American Club, Environmental Club, Health Care Professionals Club and the Interact Club. The Dunkin’ employee spends free time cooking, exercising, journaling and volunteering in the community. Darji will attend Rutgers University in the fall to pursue a degree in biology.
