Officer Jim Fellon became Mantua’s School Resource Officer eight years ago. During that time, he assisted many students, staffers and families. He tied shoes, read books, gave high fives, held hands, made jokes, wiped tears and made people feel safe.
The district says it is bittersweet that Fellon will retire and move on to the next chapter in his life at the end of this month. District students, staffers and families have been asked to wish him well over the few weeks he has left.
“We are so grateful for his years of dedication and commitment to our district and community,” the schools noted. “We will miss you, officer Fellon. And thank you for everything.”
