Celebrating the lights

The Evesham Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) hosted an official start to the Diwali holiday at the Gibson House Community Center on Nov. 3. The event welcomed younger residents and families with arts and crafts and other activities. Diwali – the Hindu festival of lights – celebrates the triumph of light over darkness. It was observed on Nov. 12 this year.
