Clearview Regional High School’s Class of 2023 graduated earlier this month before family and friends on the school’s football field.
The class of 357 students got their diplomas in an evening ceremony and under a setting sun. In attendance were school board members and Superintendent John Horchak.
“Congratulations to the Clearview Regional Class of 2023,” Horchak said. “What a beautiful graduation night.”
“Congratulations to the Class of 2023 on your graduation,” a Facebook post from the Clearview Regional High School Bands read. “Thank you for all that you have contributed musically to our community.”
“Happy graduation to my baby girl,” said one parent who asked not to be named. “You have been challenged these last four years personally, academically, athletically, and have risen above and beyond.
“Huge thanks to all of her teachers, coaches and counselors throughout her last 12 years, for helping to make her the wonderful young woman she truly is.”
A large white C for Clearview was painted on the field with yellow outlines. At nearby Victory Hill, the number 23 – for the year 2023 – was painted in the same colors. Both were done by district staffer Dave Flood.
“A big thank you to the facilities department, especially Dave Flood,” said Horchak. “Dave’s personal touch included a painted 23 on Victory Hill and a Clearview ‘C’ on the graduation field.”
After the ceremony, students gathered and embraced each other, and families took to the field to congratulate the graduates on hard work not just in high school, but in their 18 years of education.
“Congrats grad,” another parent said of a graduate. “Woke up yesterday sending you to your first day of first grade. Where does the time go? So proud of all your academic achievements. No doubt you’ll thrive in college as you did in high school. Nervous and excited for your next step.
“Keep crushing life.”
