Congratulations to Spartan Track and Field on winning NJ State Championships this weekend.
Leading the charge for the Spartans was Lathan Brown (’23), who in a historic NJ track performance, earned the state championship in two individual events, 400m dash and 400m hurdles, and anchored wins in two relay events: the 4×100, along with Christian Berry (’24), Kevin Mosley (’23) and Darryl Wayman (’24); and the 4×400, with Berry, Wayman and Mikey Long (’23).
Other big contributors in the win were Sammy Sanford (’23) placing fourth in high jump, and Micky Nelson (’23) running a personal best in the 100m hurdles.
