Township commemorates officer’s retirement

The Township of Mantua would like to congratulate Captain Brian Grady on retiring after 20 plus years of service with the Mantua Police Department.

To commemorate his time in Mantua, we wanted to share a brief biography of his career:

Grady holds an associate degree in Applied Science, and he began his law enforcement career with the NJ Transit Police (NJTP).

After moving on to the Swedesboro Police Department for some time, he finally found his home here in Mantua in March of 2002 where he moved up through the ranks of Sergeant, Lieutenant and finally, Captain. He also worked as the town’s Emergency Management Coordinator and Court Liaison.

Over his illustrious career, Grady has been awarded the MADD Award for enforcement of impaired driving, the Officer of the Year for the Mantua VFW and an exceptional duty award from the County Awards Committee.

We want to wish Grady the best of luck in retirement and thank him for his many years of honorable service to the residents of Mantua Township.
