First United Methodist Church to hold Holiday Remembrance Service

Attendees are invited to bring a candle to light and place at the altar on Dec. 12.

The holidays can be difficult for those who have lost a loved one, but they can also bring back wonderful memories. For over 20 years, the First United Methodist Church in Moorestown has offered a special community event to help bereaved families and friends find a meaningful way to gather and remember loved ones during this season. The “Holiday Remembrance Service” endures and continues to serve new and returning participants from all over the area.

This year, this special non-denominational service will take place on Sunday, Dec. 12 at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary of the church, located at 446 Camden Ave. in Moorestown. For the safety and health of worshippers, masks are strongly recommended for both those who are vaccinated and unvaccinated.

Those who attend are invited to bring a candle in a candlestick to light and place at the altar in honor of departed family or friends. The church provides nursery care for small children. Additional candles will be available.

For more information, call the church office at (856) 235-0450.
