GloCo Animal Shelter partners with White Oaks Country Club

Howl-O-Ween is a four-person scramble fundraiser benefiting GCAS and will take place on Saturday, Oct. 30.

The Gloucester County Animal Shelter (GCAS) will partner with White Oaks Country Club for Howl-O-Ween on Saturday, Oct. 30.

Howl-O-Ween is a four-person scramble fundraiser benefiting GCAS. Players should arrive at 9 a.m. for registration. 10 a.m. will be the shotgun start.

“We are always thankful for community partnerships that benefit the shelter and White Oaks Country Club has come up with a creative and fun way to do just that,” Director Robert M. Damminger said.

Fees include $60 for members, $80 for club members and $90 for the public. Included in the price of playing is golfing, adult beverages, hole contests, raffles, Chinese auctions and a buffet dinner. If you wish to enjoy dinner but are not interested in golfing, a $40 donation is requested.

“This is a great way to get involved in helping the shelter and enjoy some golf with friends. We are looking forward to using the funds raised during Howl-O-Ween to get our animals into their forever homes,” Deputy Director Frank J. DiMarco said.

The Gloucester County Animal Shelter is offering discounted adoption fees. Adoption fees are only $35 for dogs and cats five years and younger. Fees for animals six years and older are waived.

GCAS is open to view and/or adopt an animal Tuesday through Thursday from noon to 7 p.m and Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m. The Adoption Office is closed on Sundays, Mondays and all major holidays.

The White Oaks Country Club is located at 2951 Dutch Mill Road in Newfield.
