Anthony “Tony” Green passed away on March 22 at the age of 61. Tony was a lifelong resident of Moorestown born to the late Cephas and Barbara Green.
He was a graduate of Moorestown High School with the class of 1977. Tony was a member of the Moorestown Hose Co # 1 for over 40 years. During his tenor he served as a 1st Lieutenant, Captain, Assistant Chief and later Chief of District # 1 from 2009 through 2016. Chief Green gave unselfishly of his time, talent and expertise, exercising his skills on many projects for Hose Company №1 and the Moorestown Fire Department.
He was the father of Ryndi Green; brother of Keith Green and is also survived by his nieces Jasmine Vaughan and Nia Green.
A viewing will take place on Sunday, March 28 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Lewis Funeral Home located at 78 E. Main St. in Moorestown. A mass of Christian burial will take place on Monday, March 29 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church located 42 W. Main St. in Moorestown.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, face masks, social distancing and occupancy rules will be in effect at the mass and viewing.
