Armed robbery at Laurel Oak Road

The Voorhees Police Department has charged a Lindenwold resident with robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

Release according to the Voorhees Police Department.

On Sunday, March 21st, 2021 at 12:43 p.m., patrol officers were dispatched to Republic Bank on the 100 block of Laurel Oak Road for an armed robbery. Responding units were advised the robber had left the bank on foot with an undetermined amount of money. Officers located and apprehended the man, identified as Blake Lucas, 28 of Lindenwold, in the bank parking lot without incident. The on-scene investigation was turned over to Detectives from our Criminal Investigation Bureau and the Camden County Prosecutors Office. The Voorhees Police Department has charged Lucas, with robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. Lucas was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending Superior Court in Camden, New Jersey.
