Medford Arts Center (MAC) is now accepting submissions for its exhibition “Celebrating Harlem Renaissance!” The exhibition is inspired by Black achievements in the arts, art inspired by the contributions, resilience and beauty of the Harlem Renaissance honoring all Black lives-past and present.
“Celebrating Harlem Renaissance!” is part of MAC’s upcoming 6-week United Through Arts – A History of Black Achievements in the Arts, which will run online from Jan. 16 to Feb. 28. The event will feature poetry, family friendly storytimes and a Veteran art exhibit.

Eligibility:
Artists of all artistic genres. African American artists are encouraged to apply. However, submissions from Artists regardless of age, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation or identity are all welcome.
Examples of artworks to be submitted:
Painting, Photography, Collage, Fiber Arts, sculpture, film, literature, poetry and more.
How To Enter:
Artists may submit up to three (3) works of art for $10* (non-refundable). Fee covers processing, review, and gallery programming efforts as MAC is a nonprofit organization.
This call for entry is the inaugural launching of Medford Art’s new United Through Arts programs. UTA was created out of the need for a voice in our community to speak about the social and cultural, and diversity issues that we all experience every day. The goal is to share these experiences in a meaningful way and educate and empower our community, expressed through the various forms of Art.
Submissions will be selected by a panel of Artists, Instructors and United Through Arts Team Members at Medford Arts.
All accepted work will be featured in a downloadable print catalog as well as featured in a gallery on the Medford Arts website and YouTube channel.
By submitting your images you agree the nonprofit Medford Arts Center, Inc. can use your images for promotion purposes. You Agree that Medford Arts will receive 30% commission on any sold works.

- Only original work, conceived by the artist, signed by the artist.
- Work submitted may not have been previously shown at MAC.
- This is a juried exhibit. Not all work will be accepted or included in the online exhibit.

- Artist will be notified of pieces sold.
9.Artist is responsible for shipping sold work to buyers.
10.Artists should price their work to cover shipping as no additional shipping will be charged.

12.Submission of work implies agreement on the part of the artist with the above.
