In the unofficial results released by Camden County, the race to fill the unexpired seat on Cherry Hill Council saw Democrat William A. Carter, III nabbing the spot with 17,802 votes to Republican Nancy Feller O’Dowd’s 6,897 votes.
The Cherry Hill Board of Education had three open seats to fill. The unofficial results saw newcomer Miriam Stern leading the race with 14,271 votes. Incumbent Carol Matlack followed with 13,022 votes and Ineda ‘Corrien’ Elmore-Stratton received 11,222 votes. Newcomers John Papeika and Aslihan Cakmak fell behind earning 9,425 and 7,929 votes respectively.
In other unofficial election results, the presidential race showed a stronger turnout for Democrat Joseph R. Biden in Camden County with 105,852 votes to Republican Donald Trump’s 40,197 votes.
In the U.S. Senate race, Camden County voters favored Democrat Cory Booker with Booker earning 104,124 votes to Republican Rikin ‘Rik’ Mehta’s 40,407 votes.
For the House of Representatives 1st District seat, unofficial results saw Democrat Donald Norcross earned the majority of support with 101,744 votes to Republican Claire Gustafson’s 39,695 votes.
The race for the Camden County Freeholder saw the Democrats taking the lead with Democrat Louis Cappelli nabbing 102,286 votes and Democrat Jonathan L. Young receiving 99,485 votes. Republicans trailed behind with Republican Jennifer Moore receiving 42,332 votes and Republican Johanna Scheets earning 40,688 votes. The unexpired seat saw Democrat Almar Dyer leading with 99,200 votes to Republican Nicole Nance’s 43,820 votes.
