MatchDog Rescue is a South Jersey foster-based dog rescue that recently rescued more than 60 dogs from high-kill situations in Texas. The dogs will be arriving at the Marlton PetSmart on Saturday, February 8, at 10 a.m.
There are lots of different breed mixes, sizes and ages among these dogs. This transport has a game theme, meaning that all the pups have names inspired by childhood games. Many of them have had applications submitted and will have potential adopters there waiting to bring them to their fur-ever homes. Others will be loved by MatchDog Rescue volunteers and then foster families until their perfect families are found. All of these dogs are listed at www.matchdogrescue.org.
The event starts at 9 a.m. with a check-in of potential adopters, the rescue’s president will be speaking to potential adopters at 9:30a.m., and the pups will be unloaded beginning at 10 a.m. The event runs until 3 p.m.
MatchDog Rescue is always looking for volunteers and fosters; many of its volunteers reside in Moorestown, Marlton, Mt. Laurel, Medford, Cherry Hill and Mount Holly.
