The Voorhees Breakfast Rotary Club is currently hosting a peach fundraiser to benefit the Voorhees Animal Orphanage. After the recent success of its blueberry fundraiser, the rotary will be donating all proceeds of peaches bought to the VAO.
This effort benefits both local farmers and local shelter animals. Peaches for this fundraiser are grown at Helig Orchards in Mullica Hill.
Orders can be placed by visiting http://farmhousefruit.com/fundraiser/vao/ until the final order deadline Monday, Aug. 19. Afterwards, orders can be picked up at the VAO, located at 419 Cooper Road in Voorhees, on Saturday, Aug. 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The VAO serves as the municipal shelter for multiple Camden County municipalities, including Voorhees Township, Berlin Borough and more.
