The Mt. Laurel Township Police Department has concluded its first ever “Slices4Safety” campaign, with officials describing the campaign as “amazing.”
The campaign allowed officers who observed kids in town practicing good behaviors to reward those kids by issuing a “ticket” that was good for one free slice of pizza at the Crust N Fire pizza shop, located at 439 Larchmont Blvd.
During the campaign, which ran from April 5 through June 5, officials say the department’s officers handed out hundreds of tickets to children who were observed riding bikes with helmets, using crosswalks and sidewalks, wearing seat belts, playing outside and overall “just being good kids.”
Officials say it was “awesome” for the department’s officers to have so many positive encounters with children from Mt. Laurel and beyond.
The department also offers a special thanks to Crust N Fire for partnering with the department.
