Daniel Habina, a junior at Cherry Hill East, has earned Boy Scout’s highest rank, Eagle Scout. This accomplishment represents 11 years in scouting and countless hours of hard work for Habina, of Troop 170, in Cherry Hill.
During the process of satisfying the requirements for Eagle Scout, Dan provided many hours of community service and leadership. He has served as his troop’s senior patrol leader, and is currently a junior assistant scoutmaster.
For his Eagle Project, Habina designed, fundraiser for and lead a team to build and install a lighted, mirror-backed trophy case for the Rosa International Middle School’s Music Program.
In addition to the traditional outdoor skills learned on his dozens of camping and adventure trips, Habina has also earned 41 merit badges, including astronomy, entrepreneurship, first aid, salesmanship and sustainability, just to name a few.
Habina was officially presented with the rank of Eagle Scout, at a Court of Honor, on June 1.
