The DiStanislao family of southern New Jersey was honored at a recent Jefferson Health Foundation – New Jersey event in recognition of their support and generosity to the health system. Jefferson Health has played a meaningful role in the lives of various DiStanislao family members, including several who have been cared for by Jefferson physicians over the years.
Robert P. DiStanislao, Jefferson Health (NJ) Board member, recently made a gift to the health system on behalf of his family. In recognition of this gift, the Jefferson Cherry Hill Hospital atrium was named in honor of the DiStanislao family; a portrait by award-winning local artist David Larned of the family’s patriarch and matriarch — Joseph V. and Lilla — was also unveiled following a reception attended by numerous Jefferson administrative and clinical leaders.
Jefferson Health (NJ) Chief Physician Executive, Dr. Carman Ciervo, addressed the audience, speaking as the longtime physician for Lilla and the late Joseph V. The couple’s daughter, Mary DiStanislao — Jefferson’s Director of Graduate Medical Education in New Jersey — expressed the family’s gratitude for the care and compassion provided to its family members over the years.
