Submissions must be entered by Sunday, Jan. 20 at the latest.
Perkins Center for the Arts announces “PHOTOGRAPHY 38,” a juried exhibition of photographs by artists at the Perkins Center’s Moorestown Gallery. Juror Paul Cava, is an internationally known photo-based artist who is renowned for his sensual and emotionally driven collage work. Concentrating on the figure, Cava’s work speaks to the most intrinsic of human concerns.
Work must be hand delivered and received on Friday, Jan. 12 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; Sunday, Jan. 14 from noon to 4 p.m.; Friday, Jan. 18 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or Sunday, Jan. 20 from noon to 4 p.m.
Artists may enter up to three works at an entrée fee of $15 per entry. All artists must submit on Perkins’ website site under “Exhibitions” at www.perkinsarts.org. The opening reception will be Saturday, Feb. 2 from 1 to 4 p.m. This event is free and open to the public with an awards ceremony at 2 p.m.
Awards include up to five Juror Awards totaling $600 for Artistic Excellence exhibited works, which will be offered to the Philadelphia Museum of Art for their photography collection with a maximum purchase award of $600. Three artists will be invited by Perkins Center’s Curator for inclusion in a future exhibition at our Collingswood Gallery in 2020 .
