Looking for something to do on Saturday that includes filling up your stomach with something warm and tasty on an autumn afternoon while also helping others? Perfect.
Swing by Raymour & Flanigan’s store (1450 Clements Bridge Road) for their “Chili Cook-Off for Kids.”
The money raised from the event, hosted in conjunction with Nemours DuPont Pediatrics, will go directly to the hospital. All proceeds are going toward building a playground for patients and their families at Nemours’ facility in Deptford.
Saturday’s even kicks off at noon and is scheduled to run until 3 p.m.
If you’re interested in including your own chili for the event, contact Raymour and Flanigan’s Deptford store to pre-register. In addition to the chili tasting the event will include Mission BBQ cornbread, pumpkin painting, and other festive activities.
