Surrounding police departments helped Mantua officers assist the man injured in an alleged shooting.

Investigators with the Mantua Township Police Department have concluded their investigation and charged two men, who voluntarily turned themselves in.
36-year-old Matthew Leuhmann of the Villages of Berkley was charged with False Public Alarm, False Reports to Law Enforcement and Discharging a Firearm within the township.
23-year-old Matthew Pride, Pine Hill, was charged with False Public Alarm and False Reports to Law Enforcement.
Mantua Township Police were called to the Villages of Berkley on Monday, September 3rd for a male injured in an alleged shooting at around 10:40 pm.
The men were released on a summons with a court date.

Upon arrival, the victim told officers he was shot by an unknown person and they fled the scene in an unidentified vehicle.
Officers from surrounding police departments secured the scene as they searched for the suspect and car, however, further investigation revealed the man accidentally shot himself.
The victim was treated at Cooper University Hospital and has since been released.
