Police say the alleged incident recently took place at the Anthropology Store on Route 73.
The following information is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:
On May 23 at 3:20 p.m., officers with ETPD responded to the Anthropology Store, 500 S. Route 73, for two females who has just allegedly assaulted the store manager during a shoplifting attempt.
Prior to officer’s arrival, police say the females had allegedly fled the store and a description of their vehicle was broadcasted.
Later, police say a patrolling officer located and stopped the vehicle on Route 73.
According to police, the two females inside the vehicle were arrested, and during a subsequent search of the vehicle, police say more than $5,000 worth of allegedly shoplifted merchandise from Evesham stores was recovered.
Arrested:
A female, age 20, of Philadelphia, was charged with second-degree robbery and third-degree shoplifting. She was lodged in the Burlington County Jail with no bail.
A female, age 21, of Philadelphia, was charged with second-degree robbery and third-degree shoplifting. She was lodged in the Burlington County Jail with no bail.
