Evesham Police arrest pair of Philadelphia females in alleged shoplifting turned robbery

Police say the alleged incident recently took place at the Anthropology Store on RouteĀ 73.

The following information is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:

On May 23 at 3:20 p.m., officers with ETPD responded to the Anthropology Store, 500 S. Route 73, for two females who has just allegedly assaulted the store manager during a shoplifting attempt.

Prior to officerā€™s arrival, police say the females had allegedly fled the store and a description of their vehicle was broadcasted.

Later, police say a patrolling officer located and stopped the vehicle on RouteĀ 73.

According to police, the two females inside the vehicle were arrested, and during a subsequent search of the vehicle, police say more than $5,000 worth of allegedly shoplifted merchandise from Evesham stores was recovered.

Arrested:

A female, age 20, of Philadelphia, was charged with second-degree robbery and third-degree shoplifting. She was lodged in the Burlington County Jail with noĀ bail.

A female, age 21, of Philadelphia, was charged with second-degree robbery and third-degree shoplifting. She was lodged in the Burlington County Jail with noĀ bail.
