Meteorologist Greg Pollak creates a tornado as part of his presentation to students at Grenloch Terrace Early Childhood Center. Special to The Sun.

Grenloch Terrace Early Childhood Center students were treated to a special guest on May 14, as teacher Heather Leimberg’s brother, Greg Pollak, spoke to them about the weather.

Pollak is a broadcast meteorologist working for NEWS10 ABC in Albany, NY, where he has been since May 2014. Prior to his current position, he worked at WGGB-TV, an ABC station in Springfield, MA, as well as in the weather newsrooms in Binghamton, NY, Fargo, ND, and Atlantic City.

Pollak’s presentation was highlighted by his creation of a mini-tornado and a mini-cloud within a 2-liter soda bottle. He even showed the students the proper way to take cover in case of a tornado.
