“No Solicitation” stickers still available for Palmyra residents

Residents can pick up the stickers at the police station from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays

The following information was released by the Borough of Palmyra:

“No Solicitation” stickers are still available at the Palmyra Police Station.

In May of 2017, Borough Council amended Chapter 197 of the Borough Code regulating peddling and soliciting that included a “No Knock” provision, giving residents the right to be free from door-to-door soliciting.

Residents that elect to have no contact with solicitors may display a sticker that is issued by the Palmyra Police Department. Residents are asked to simply display it prominently on their outermost front door.

Stickers may be picked up at the police station from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Violators can be fined if they disturb residents who display the stickers.
