Cherry Hill voters will not be casting a vote for full-day kindergarten costs in next year’s proposed bond referendum. Superintendent Joe Meloche said the district will exclude any costs associated with implementing full-day kindergarten from the proposed 2018 bond referendum. In addition, the district plans to implement full-day kindergarten in all 12 elementary schools by September 2019.

Cherry Hill West girls soccer stuns Triton, Mainland to advance to sectional semifinals

Cherry Hill West girls soccer have made some noise in the South Jersey Group III tournament after winning a pair of road games last week. The Lions edged Triton, 1–0, in their first round game last Tuesday. In the sectional quarterfinals on Thursday, Cherry Hill West won again, defeated Mainland Regional High School, 2–1, in double overtime to advance to the South Jersey Group III semifinals on Monday.

Movies, TV shows and goofy characters represented at 2017 Kingsway Church Trunk or Treat

More than 40 festively decorated vehicles were parked at Kingsway Church in Cherry Hill on Halloween last Tuesday for the church’s annual Trunk or Treat event. While there were a few spooky trunks, there were a wide variety of other themes as well. Many vehicles at the event were themed to popular movies and TV shows, while others were themed to the jungle, enchanted forest and barbecue.

Township council, board of education races highlight busy 2017 Election Day

Cherry Hill voters will have a full ballot when they take the polls on Election Day Tuesday. There are eight candidates running for four seats on Cherry Hill Township Council this year. In addition, five candidates are running for three seats on the Cherry Hill Board of Education. Voters will also get to vote in the New Jersey Governor’s election, State Senate election, New Jersey General Assembly election and Camden County Board of Chosen Freeholders race.
