On Oct. 17, at 11:10 a.m., Evesham Police say a witness contacted the Evesham Police Township Department after the witness allegedly observed two males carrying an unconscious male from a car and abandoning the male inside a residence in the unit block of Bartram Road. According to police, the two males allegedly then fled the area in their vehicle without calling for medical assistance. While the unconscious male was eventually revived, police remind community members that the law allows individuals to report drug overdoses without the fear of being arrested.

Evesham Township approves new payroll-processing services to include biometric technology

This week saw Evesham Council hold a special meeting to approve just one agenda item — awarding payroll-processing services for the next five years to the ADP, LLC for an annual amount of about $51,000, including the use of biometrics. Through biometric technology, township employees will be able to access a kiosk by using their fingerprints as the key necessary to unlock information about their specific payroll information, such as the balance remaining in their leave time.

Marlton residents to cast votes for local and state races on Nov. 7

Tuesday, Nov. 7 is Election Day. Polls are open from 6 a.m. — 8 p.m. Evesham residents will be able to vote in races for the Evesham Township School District Board of Education, Lenape Regional High School District Board of Education, Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders, General Assembly, State Senate and governor and lieutenant governor of New Jersey. Voters in Evesham will also vote on two state public questions.

Cherokee High School students selected for TCNJ Honors Wind Ensemble performance on Nov. 12

A dozen Cherokee High School students have been selected for to perform in a TCNJ Honors Wind Ensemble performance on Nov. 12. These student musicians will perform wind band repertoire along with other student musicians from across New Jersey. The performance will take place on Saturday, Nov. 12, at 8 p.m. in the Kendall Mainstage Theatre on the campus of The College of New Jersey.

Cherokee High School Band Boosters holding holiday fundraiser on Dec. 3 at Barnes & Noble

The Cherokee High School Band Boosters will be holding a holiday fundraiser on Dec. 3 at the Barnes & Noble in Marlton, 200 W. Route 70. Event players will perform from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., while Santa Claus visits from noon to 3 p.m. Families are encouraged to bring a camera and take their own picture with Santa.
