Police say a subsequent search of the vehicle by officers resulted in the discovery of 12 bags of heroin hidden inside.
The following report is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:
On June 9 at 1:30 a.m., an officer patrolling inside the township’s Data-Driven Approaches to Crime and Traffic Safety zone observed a subject sleeping in the driver’s seat of a vehicle parked in the lot of 360 S. Route 73.
During the investigation, Evesham Police K-9 Brody was called upon to assist officers with the detection of narcotics.
According to police, the K-9 was walked around the exterior of the suspect’s vehicle at which time he alerted officers to the presence of narcotics inside the car. Police say a subsequent search of the vehicle by officers resulted in the discovery of 12 bags of heroin hidden inside the vehicle.
Arrested:
A male, age 32, of Vineland, was charged with third-degree possession of heroin and a disorderly persons offense for possession of drug paraphernalia. Evesham Police say the man was turned over to the Washington Township Police Department to satisfy outstanding criminal warrants.
