Palmyra Historical & Cultural Society wins Burlington County award.
The Burlington County History Recognition Program has recognized the Palmyra Historical & Cultural Society for their contributions to county history in published history, achievement and leadership, the borough announced this week.
Sponsored by the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders, the recognition program also recognized Palmyra resident and society president Jim May. May currently serves as President of the organization and has played an active role in documenting the history Palmyra as well as Burlington County. Currently, Jim is focusing his efforts on preserving Burlington County history and historic structure.
The recognition program recognizes county residents, organizations and municipalities who have taken steps to explore, record and reveal history, as well as those who have proven to be leaders and educators in the field of history.
