Shawnee students present to Board

Two seniors gave an overview of student and staff run events.

Shawnee High School seniors Jack Dougherty and Dana Goldstein presented an overview of student and staff run events to the Lenape Regional High School District Board of Education at its meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 15.

The events included the “Together We Rise” fundraiser for foster children, the veterans visitations, the Academic Fair and upcoming spring musical Sister Act. Additionally, they highlighted how many of these experiences help foster a positive learning environment at Shawnee High School.

Jack Dougherty of Medford intends to major in nursing. He has applied to West Virginia University, Widener University and Penn State University, among other schools. Dougherty is the student council president and a member of the boys swim team.

Dana Goldstein of Medford will attend Rutgers University in New Brunswick on a soccer scholarship and will be a pre-dental major. Goldstein is the senior class president and captain of the varsity girls soccer team.
