Parents and children are invited to attend a YMCA Summer Camp Open House on Sunday, Jan. 22 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Mt. Laurel YMCA to learn more about the Y’s summer camp programs, talk to camp directors and hear experiences from campers.

As a special incentive, the Y will waive the program member fee (up to $200) for families who RSVP for the Open House and pay in full for at least two weeks of camp. In addition, parents who buy and pay in full in January will receive 10 percent off total cost of camp. Those who do so in February will receive 8 percent off, and those who do so in March will receive 5 percent off camp.

“YMCA summer camps support the social-emotional growth, cognitive development and physical well-being of kids,” said Bob Lomauro, Interim President and CEO, YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties. “In our camps, kids are in a welcoming environment where they can belong, they’re building relationships, developing character and discovering their potential. We really encourage parents to give their kids the gift of camp to keep their kids active and engaged throughout the summer.”

The Y offers a variety of camps, including traditional camps, teen travel, sports, outdoor, half-day, special needs, preschool and more. Camps are divided among age-appropriate programs for children ages 3 to 16 to spend the summer in their own neighborhood. The Y has more than 20 camp programs in Delran, Palmyra, Haddonfield, Audubon, Westampton, Mt. Laurel, Burlington and more.

Through the camp the YMCA believes children can have new experiences, experience personal growth, develop friendships, learn values and make new memories.

For more information on the YMCA’s summer camp programming, visit www.ymca-bc.org/camp or the Welcome Center at the Mt. Laurel YMCA and Burlington-Riverfront YMCA or call (856) 231-9622 (YMCA).
