You’ve got a friend in the Pinelands Library

Learn about the Friends of the Burlington County Library System.

Who are the Friends of the Burlington County Library System? They are people who use the library’s vast resources and services for information and entertainment, realize the value of a good library and its importance to their community, and want to keep the library a dynamic resource center, responsive to the need of the community.

Friends help generate support for their library, bring a greater awareness of the variety of services the library has to offer, and offer financial support through membership dues and fund-raising projects, which can help purchase special items and sponsor special events not in the library’s regular budget.

Five locations of the Burlington County Library System have a friends group, including the Pinelands Branch. The Friends of the Pinelands Library are residents of Medford and surrounding towns who voluntarily support quality library service in our area. The Medford Library Association was incorporated on Jan. 27, 1969. This group was instrumental in refurbishing a bus garage to establish the Pinelands Branch of the Burlington County Library. The library opened on Feb. 14, 1972.
