The Evesham Township Police Department has named officer Dave Peterson as the department’s “Officer of the Month” for November.

Police say Petersen is being commended for his proactive approach in removing hazardous subjects from the roadways, investigative skills and commitment to making the township a safer place.
The following list as just some of Peterson’s notable accomplishments during the month of November:
–On Nov. 1, Petersen arrested a subject on a motor vehicle stop who was found to be in possession of cocaine, hypodermic needles, and other paraphernalia. This arrest prevented the suspect from delivering possibly contaminated food to a local cafeteria.
–On Nov. 19, Petersen arrested four subjects who had been traveling throughout the South Jersey area committing fraudulent bank transactions. The individuals were found to have entered several banks, created a fake accounts, and then made fraudulent withdrawals utilizing this account. Some of the checks located in the fraud were stolen during a burglary in Pennsylvania. One of the subjects was also held for being a wanted person out of Philadelphia for rape.
–Since his return to the patrol division from being a school resource officer, Petersen has proactively arrested eight subjects for DWI.
