Police searching for Cherry Hill bank robbery suspect

A suspect reportedly robbed the Republic Bank on Route 70 in Cherry Hill at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday morning.

Cherry Hill Police and the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office are asking for the public’s assistance in searching for a man who robbed the Republic Bank on Route 70 in Cherry Hill this morning.

Authorities say the suspect enter the bank around 8:30 a.m. and passed a demand note to a teller. He received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene on foot. No weapon was displayed and there were no injuries.

The suspect is described as a black male who stands just under 6’ tall and has a large build. He was wearing tan colored pants, a dark colored hoodie sweatshirt (possibly black) and a two-toned wool hat (possibly gray and black) with the words “ZOO YORK” on the front.
