Learn About Campus Life, Financial Aid and More, Sat. Oct. 15
Thinking about going to college? Want to explore other options after high school? The Burlington County Library System is ready to help with its first “College Fair” set for Saturday, Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Held at the County Library in Westampton, the fair will feature representatives from a sampling of post-secondary institutions and the military, as well as panel discussions geared for teens and young adults thinking about their future. Parents and guardians are also welcome. Admission is free and registration is not required.
The one-hour panel discussions in the library auditorium will include:
• 10:30 a.m. — How Do I Pay for This?
Get advice about the best way to fund your post-secondary education. Featured panelists will include: a staff member from the financial aid office at Rowan College of Burlington County who will outline funding options for college-bound students; a representative from Thomas Edison State University who will talk about adult and online-education; and a military recruiter who will address how to supplement school funding by enlisting.
• 12:30 p.m. Campus Life
Whether you plan to go to community college, commute to a four-year institution, or live on campus, our panelists are ready to offer their insight. All recent students themselves, they look forward to answering your questions and concerns about what style of campus engagement is right for you.
