16th annual Whiskey, Wine and Wildlife fundraiser on May 21.

Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge wants South Jersey residents to enjoy the three W’s — whiskey, wine, and wildlife. Cedar Run will hold the 16th annual “Whiskey, Wine & Wildlife” fundraiser on Saturday May 21, at the Flying W Airport and Resort in Medford from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Attendees will enjoy an evening of wining and dining, and have the opportunity to benefit the non-profit.

Adults aged 21 and over are invited to sample wine and cheese pairings, whiskey, microbrews, gourmet beers, and food provided by premier area restaurants and caterers. Plus, guests will be greeted and encouraged to mingle with Cedar Run’s Wildlife Ambassadors — its own residents — such as owls, hawks, vultures, and more. Attendees will be enjoying the food and entertainment, as well as knowing they are supporting an organization dedicated to wildlife rehabilitation, environmental education, and habitat preservation.

“Most people don’t realize that Cedar Run operates the busiest wildlife animal hospital in the state, treating about 4,000 animals per year, and we operate entirely from private funding and donations,” Executive Director Jeanne Gural said. “Everyone should join us on May 21 and have a great time at our Whiskey, Wine and Wildlife event, supporting our many programs, including those focused on animal rehabilitation, habitat conservation, and STEM-based education.”

Attendees also have the opportunity to walk away with prizes from basket raffles, as well as the silent and live auctions.

Tickets to the event cost $55 per person and $100 for two people through May 1; after May 1, ticket prices will be $65 per person, or $110 for two people. All proceeds will go directly to Cedar Run. Purchase tickets online at www.cedarrun.org or by contacting Kathy Cantafio at [email protected], (856) 983–3329 x 100. The event is sponsored by Canal’s Wine Unlimited, but additional sponsorship opportunities are available; contact Cedar Run for information.

The 171-wooded-acre site surrounding Cedar Run Lake in Medford has hiking trails, wildlife exhibits, a rehabilitation hospital, and a Nature Center. To learn more about Cedar Run, or to make a donation to support its efforts, visit www.cedarrun.org.
