The Samaritan Center for Grief Support, a member of the Samaritan Family of Services, announces its January support group schedule.
“Grief is a natural, healthy and universal emotion,” said Kim Rumaker, Manager of the Samaritan Center for Grief Support. “It helps us accept a loss and begin to heal. You don’t have to grieve alone.”
The following support group will be offered by the Samaritan Center for Grief Support staff in January:
-Grieving the Love of Your Life at $40 for eight sessions. This group is for those grieving the loss of a spouse or partner.
Sessions start Monday, Jan. 25 at 2 p.m. at the Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice Center for Grief — 5 Eves Drive, Marlton.
For the following classes, call Samaritan for dates and times:
-Bereaved Parents — For parents mourning the loss of a child. Cost is $30 for six sessions.
-Big Hurts, Little Tears — A play and grief group for children ages 3 to 5 years old.
-Just the Guys — A group for men grieving a loss.
-Pet Loss — A group for those grieving the loss of their animal companion
-Sharing Suicide’s Sorrow — A group for friends and family grieving a suicide death.
Samaritan’s grief support groups are open to anyone in the community, but registration is required at (856) 596–8550.
Other Center services include grief counseling for adults and children, and PTSD services for active military and veterans.
