On Nov. 18, Rotary District 7500 honored Chris Chesner the winner of the Rotary Community Volunteer Award for Moorestown. Chesner received this award for his “Service Above Self” in the community of Moorestown.
Chesner graduated from the University of Maryland in Fire Science, and is the currently the Deputy Chief and Fire District Manager. Chesner resides in Moorestown with his beautiful wife Maria, and three children Sophia, Giuliana and Carter.
Chesner’s teams in Moorestown led the way recently on the fire at the Moorestown Community House, and helped save the jewel of Moorestown. The fire was a 2 alarm fire, and five different towns responded to help Moorestown under Chesner’s leadership.
Rotary President Scott Aschoff stated Chesner and his teams are an asset to the community, and volunteers that Chesner has recruited and trained over the last 23 years paid dividends during this weeks fire.
Chesner also serves the YMCA Risk Management Board, Membership Chair of the Moorestown Republican Club, and is supporting the Moorestown Community House Capital Campaign, and is a Rotary Past President.
