Burlington County Freeholder Director Bruce Garganio announced that as part of the Freeholder’s new Workforce Development Initiative the County will be hosting a Fall Job Fair on Friday, Sept. 19. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Burlington Center Mall on Route 541 in Burlington Township.
“As part of our aggressive Workforce Development Initiative, we are actively matching jobseekers with local employers looking to sustain and expand their business in Burlington County,” Freeholder Director Garganio said.
“This event is designed to allow jobseekers to have personal contact with prospective employers who seek to fill positions ranging from entry-level to management,” Garganio said. “Participating businesses will represent New Jersey’s top growing industries: health care, hospitality, retail, finance, skilled trades, transportation, technology and more.
“For businesses, this is an ideal opportunity to fill job vacancies and meet a talented pool of potential employees; in addition to providing valuable exposure for their company,” Freeholder Director Garganio said. “More than 1,000 job seekers with broad qualifications are anticipated to attend the job fair armed with resumes and dressed for success.”
In the weeks leading up to the job fair event the Burlington County American Job Center will be conducting workshops to assure that job seekers are prepared to meet with prospective employers. Workshops will include assistance with writing a resume, interviewing skills, properly completing on-line job applications and more.
For dates and times of the workshop, see www.BurlingtonCountyWorks.com. To reserve a seat in any of the pre-event workshops, jobseekers should call (609) 518–3900 to reserve a space.
Businesses interested in participating in the Job Fair should contact the Workforce Investment Board at (609) 265–5603. Registration is open until Sept. 12, 2014
