The award-winning Moorestown Theater Company will present a great night for theater lovers, as its Scenes & Songs II will showcase 15 different musicals and plays starting on Friday, Sept. 19. The production will include a scene from Neil Simon’s “The Odd Couple,” with Channel 6abc News Anchor Rick Williams playing the sloppy, easygoing ‘Oscar Madison’ and MTC Producing Artistic Director Mark Morgan playing the neat, uptight ‘Felix Unger’. Scenes & Songs was created in 2013 by MTC Trustee Tom McHale, who has directed both productions.
There will be six performances of Scenes & Songs II, which will be performed by a 41-member adult cast. The production will be at Westfield Friends School, 2201 Riverton Road in Cinnaminson as follows:
-Friday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m.
-Saturday, Sept. 20 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
-Friday, Sept. 26 at 7 PM
-Saturday, Sept. 27 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
All tickets are reserved and are $10. Tickets can be ordered on-line at www.MoorestownTheaterCompany.org or they can be purchased at the door an hour before curtain time. Due to some mature dialogue and lyrics, MTC is suggesting a rating of PG-13 for this production. For more information, visit the MTC Website or call (856) 778–8357.
Besides The Odd Couple, there will be scenes performed from these other plays or television programs:
The Breakfast Club • Death Of A Salesman • Monty Python’s Flying Circus • Moonstruck
There will also be songs performed from these Broadway musicals:
A Chorus Line • The Full Monty • A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum • Hair • How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying • Into the Woods • Little Women •

“For a wonderful variety of theater performances, you just can’t spend your entertainment dollars better than by buying tickets to see the Moorestown Theater Company’s Alternative Stage production of Scenes & Songs II”, said McHale, a Moorestown resident and Financial Planner for PNC Investments, who besides directing the overall production, is directing six of the 15 individual scenes and songs. “After a great debut last year, I am even more excited about the level of talented performers who are in this year’s production.”

MTC also offers Spring and Fall Studio Classes in acting, dancing and singing with a session-ending Spring Recital, as well as private voice and dance lessons, and individual audition coaching sessions.
